ScotJam: Explorers
Saturday 25th July to Saturday 1st August 2026
Get ready for a full week of challenge, choice and adventure!
ScotJam: Explorers 2026 brings together Explorers from across Scotland for an unforgettable seven-night residential - now extended from four nights following fantastic feedback from last year’s participants.
With expert instructors and the dedicated ScotJam Volunteer team, this is your chance to take on new challenges, develop practical skills, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
For 2026, Explorers will select one of seven specialist week-long programmes, each designed to stretch, inspire, and reward. They’ll focus on their chosen activity area for the full week - building skills, confidence, and leadership.
Programme options include:
- Multi-Activity Adventure - A mix of land, water and height challenges for those who want to try everything.
- Walking Expedition - Plan, navigate and complete a multi-day team expedition.
- Paddle Sport Skills - Develop advanced kayaking, canoeing and paddle techniques.
- Sailing & Powerboating - Get out on the loch and work towards recognised awards.
- Hills & Rock Skills - Hillwalking, climbing, and crag skills for those who love the mountains.
- Bushcraft & Survival Skills - Outdoor living, firecraft, and woodland challenges.
- Young Leader Training - Complete all Modules within the Young Leader Programme, and then join the Multi-Activity Adventure
Each programme leads to a distinct set of badges, and most offer the opportunity to earn a National Governing Body award. Whatever you choose, you’ll finish the week with new skills, new friends, and a real sense of achievement.
Transport may be available from regional pick-up points subject to demand and at an additional cost. Full details, including times and pricing, will be shared with confirmed bookings closer to the event.
