To take part in this week you should have reasonable experience in Sailing.  This means that you have achieve either the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 1 Award or the Scouts Sailing Stage 1 Badge.  

Over the course of the week, you will work towards achieving the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 2 Award and the RYA Level 2 Powerboat Award. 

RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 2 

This course will look at basic sailing skills, ropework and collision avoidance.  By the end of the course, you will fully understand the basic principles of Sailing.  

RYA Level 2 Powerboat 

This course looks at boat handling and seamanship in powerboats.  Over the course of the week, you will carry out a variety of close-quarters boat handling, plan speed manoeuvre, conduct man overboard recovery and look at collision regulations.
