RYA Dinghy Instructor Course 2023- This Course has been funded by Scouts Scotland and RYA Scotland.

This specific Course and package is only open to Scout Volunteer Leaders from Scouts Scotland who have all compulsory training upto date (Checks will be made on compass).
 
Saturday 25th March 2023- Refresher Skills day with Staff from Lochgoilhead to polish skills and get used to boats.
Sunday 26th March 2023 - Pre-Assessment day by RYA Coach Tutor. This is a pre-requisitite before you are allowed to participate in the RYA Dinghy Course.
Monday 10th April- Friday 14th April- RYA Dinghy Instructor Course.

Course cost £170 to pay for accomodation and catering. Accomodation will be available the evening before.

Pre-requisites
- Hold RYA membership
- Be aged 18 years or older (due to accomodation)
- Hold a valid first aid certificate.
- Hold an RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate.
- Hold the RYA Safe and Fun Certificate
- have a sailing ability equivalent to RYA seamanship standard (This includes being able to sail Rudderless, Centreboard less, Man overboards, Coming alongside, picking up a mooring)
 
It is compulsory for RYA Instructors to be an RYA member.
