The workshop is for those involved or interested in becoming involved in working on the Mountain Training qualification schemes, and is a mandatory part of the process of becoming a Mountain Training Scotland (MTS) approved Course Director. As a Scout Leader Holding a Module 25, this course will be a sought after CPD opportunity to stay up to date as an assessor. (as per POR)
It will also hold relevance to anyone training and assessing in the outdoors not just those involved in working on the Mountain Training schemes.

To reduce the amount of time spent inside covering the theory there will be an eLearning module to complete prior to the course and this will be emailed to attendees prior to the course.

To keep the day as flexible as possible and make the best use of conditions, could delegates come dressed and equipped for outdoor sessions ‘on the hill’.

The dates on the booking portal are the residential dates, as there is accomodation the night before the course begins. The course run will be on Saturday 7th and Sunday the 8th for those not wishing to purchase the residential package.

A Prerequsite of this course is that you are a Mountain Training award holder.
