Woodland Management Weekend

Step into the woods and grow your confidence in the outdoors with a hands-on weekend designed especially for adult leaders. This practical training event will give you the skills, knowledge, and experience to better manage woodland environments and make the most of them with your young people. The course will be run in conjunction with the conservation volunteers, providing practical skills and a wealth of knowledge.

Across the weekend, you’ll take part in a variety of practical sessions – from tree and habitat management to safe tool use, tree and hedge planting and management and conservation skills. It’s a chance to deepen your understanding of the natural environment while picking up tips, techniques, and activities you can take back to your own groups.

As well as building your outdoor skillset, you’ll camp alongside other leaders, share experiences, and enjoy time around the campfire. Whether you’re new to woodland skills or looking to refresh your knowledge, this weekend offers the perfect balance of training, confidence-building and inspiration in the great outdoors.

This is a weekend event, with programme activities running on Saturday and Sunday. Ticket price includes indoor accommodation (arrival from Friday night or Saturday) and full catering from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch. No single day ticket option is available.
