Woodland Management Weekend at Gilwell Park

This Woodland Management Weekend is designed to help adult leaders develop the skills and confidence to manage woodland environments and make the most of them with their young people. The course will be delivered in conjunction with the conservation volunteers, providing practical training and a wealth of knowledge.

The course will be practical and outdoors, with sessions covering tree and habitat management, safe tool use, tree and hedge planting and management, and conservation skills. You will gain practical experience and learn techniques and activities that you can take back to your own groups. The weekend also provides an opportunity to share experiences with other leaders and enjoy time around the campfire.
