Online- Mental Health First Aid Refresher

Here at Scouts we know how important it is to be able to not only support other leaders but our young people as well, and we are recognising more and more people struggling with their mental health. This course will help you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to have a non-judgmental conversation, recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support and recovery. Would you know how to provide effective first aid in an emergency?

This course will be run by an external provider who works closely with leading health care services. All aspects of the course will take place online. This the MHFA Refresher Course is only for people who have completed an Adult MHFA Two Day Course. It should be taken every 3 years to validate your Mental Health First Aider qualification, as you would your physical First Aid qualification, to continue to effectively support the people around you.
