Gilwell Reunion 2022 event volunteer applications

2 September - 4 September

Gilwell Reunion 2022 staff

General applications for event volunteers are now closed as we've filled all the places on our teams. This application form is now for pre-approved registrations only.

Thanks for your interest, and do look out for opportunities in the future!

After two years of seeing many of you virtually we can’t wait to welcome you back to Gilwell Park for a weekend of fun, inspiration and of course catching up with friends old and new.

This application form is for volunteers to support the Gilwell Reunion event. We're hugely thankful for your support - the event simply wouldn't be able to happen without you!

Volunteer roles
If you've volunteered at one of our events before, you'll probably already know you're preferred role. You can select this during the application process.

If you're new (hello - welcome!) or not sure, you can select 'general event volunteer' and we'll allocate you a suitable role based on what we need support with. We'll let you know your role when we've confirmed your application.

Each role will have a Team Leader, who will support you and create a rota. There will be further information to follow, and a briefing before the start of the event.

If you'd like to come before Friday to help us get ready for the weekend, please get in touch with James Reynolds

Logistics
We have very limited indoor accommodation available this year, so it's unlikely we'll be able to offer a bed to everyone who would like one. Please consider others when choosing your preferred accommodation, as they may need it more than you do. Those with specific medical/accessibility needs will be accommodated first.

Camping space will be available for all other event volunteers, in an area separate from attendee camping.

Meals will be provided from Friday lunch to Sunday lunch to all event volunteers working at these times. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements during the application process so we can cater for you.

Parking will be available off-site for all staff. A limited amount of parking for staff with accessibility needs will be available on-site, and must be agreed in advance.

How to apply
1. Select the green date on the calendar on this page
2. Follow the steps on the right of the page to add your ticket to the basket
3. Click 'Go to checkout' to start your application
4. We'll review your application and come back to you within 14 days
5. We'll share further information about the event as the date gets closer

How we use your data
The details you provide during the booking process will be used to fulfil your booking. This information includes your name and contact details, which we'll use to contact you about and facilitate your booking. This may include the personal details of other participants of the booking, which you acknowledge you have permission to share with us. We will also use your personal details to complete a vetting check against internal Scout records.  Your personal details will be held securely for 18 months after your booking, independently of any other data or membership held by The Scout Association. Personal data is not shared with any third party with the exception of our booking system provider, Cinolla Software Limited. If you opt-in to receive marketing emails, we'll contact you with news and offers from Scout Adventures, and you may unsubscribe at any time. Gilwell Reunion may include The Scout Association photographers capturing images of the event. Where you are likely to be the focus of such images, the photographer will ask for your permission to do so. For more information, please see our data protection policy.
